Fan of the Sunset Warrior series from way back. Purchased the set on Kindle since I was one of those who asked for the author. Never read this book previously since did not consider it a continuation of the Sunset Warrior story. Price was right and I took the plunge due to liking the author previous books which include the Nicholas Linear Ninja series. Did not like the very start of this tale where the previous hero is deemed the villain future. Sorry now that I am older did not care for the concept and the author did nothing to pique my interest to read on.Product details

Great continuation of this series.
Lustbader never ceases to amaze me. I love everything that he has written, that I have read.
If you're a Lustbader fan you'll love this story of magic and martial arts - if not a fan I don't know what to tell you.
Great story, well written, keeps me reading too long into the night.
In spite of finding the descriptions and narrative often overdone and sometimes tedious, I did slog through all five book Sunset Warrior books, partly due the the fact that a teaser for the next book was added to the book versions. Been generally a Lustbader fan, but this was not up to my expectations from him.
Book 5 of the series is packed to the brim with adventure, exploration, revelations and surprises, just as it is with the wild, but directed, imagination of places, people, creatures and power. Lustbader lowers the curtain with satisfying insights, leaving just a tantalizing opening in the fabric...
If there is a downside, it is that I wanted more of the Sunset Warrior himself.
I have read most of Van Lustbader's books and enjoyed them all. This series was quite different from his other works but no less rewarding. The characters are fascinating, the plot is intricate, and the story ultimately ties all of the players together in a manner that brings a satisfying conclusion to this epic tale. A fun filled read with several twists and unexpected subplots. You won't be disappointed in this fantasy adventure.
